Zoe Maitland is an Oakland-born, Portland-based artist. She recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and a minor in Art History. She was an Executive Photo Editor for Align Magazine and lead photographer for the UO School of Art + Design.

Zoe is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, installation, and photobook making. Guided by a playful, spontaneous process, her work explores nostalgia, intimacy, and the in-betweens, holding space for connection and emotion. She has self-published five photobooks and exhibited her work throughout Eugene, Oregon, including her BFA thesis show at the LaVerne Krause Gallery.

Looking ahead, she plans to continue her photobook and editorial practice while pursuing opportunities within the magazine and publishing industry.
