Zoe Maitland (she/her) works across multiple genres of photography. Her practice is guided by a playful, spontaneous process that explores themes of nostalgia, intimacy, and the fluidity of time. She has self-published four photobooks: Paella and Plaid (January 2026), Kissing, Eating, Talking (March 2025), Scandinavian Swimmers (January 2025), and Bold Below the Belt (March 2024). Her recent exhibitions include a solo show, Emotional Taxonomy, at the Foyer Gallery in Eugene, Oregon, as well as group exhibitions: Expansive Landscapes at Onyx Gallery and When We’re Awake at McMillan Gallery, both in Eugene, OR.

Zoe is currently an Executive Photo Editor for a student-run magazine at the University of Oregon and lead photographer for the UO School of Art + Design. She is open to freelance, editorial, and commercial photography assignments.

Originally from Oakland, California, Zoe lives in Eugene, Oregon, where she is pursuing a BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History. She plans to move to Portland after she graduates in spring 2026.
