My name is Zoe Maitland (she/her), and I am currently a student at the University of Oregon, completing my BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History. I grew up in Oakland, California, and plan to return to California after I graduate in the spring of 2026.

I am a photographer for Align magazine and am a staff photographer for the School of Art + Design at UO.

I am drawn to capturing vibrant scenes full of nature, patterns, and colors, focusing on fleeting moments that might go unnoticed. For me, photography is about finding beauty in the every day and approaching my work with playfulness and spontaneity. While I may start with a plan, I let the process guide me, embracing mistakes as opportunities to learn. This mindset shapes both my photography and life.
